GROUP ACTIVITES CENTRE BASED NDIS
The group and centre-based activities NDIS covers support that helps you undertake a community-based range of activities. The support also extends and assists you to participate in social groups. Being part of the community helps people with a disability establish a network and meet people in a safe and supportive environment.
Group activities covered under NDIS
- Music
- Games and other fun & engaging activities
- Art and craft
- Skills-based (cooking and baking)
- Certain sports
While a wide range of group activities are covered under NDIS, there are still a few group activities that aren’t funded by NDIS.
These includes:
- The NDIS group activities support doesn’t cover beverages and meals consumed during the period of an activity
- Entry fees and ticket costs for your friends, family members and support worker
- Entry fees or any tickets prices to venues including but not limited to theatres, museums etc
- Cost of equipment (sports equipment or any specific equipment relevant to the disability)
